Lint... Poem by Nestor David Armas

Lint...

Can I be
A nice mistake
You made once?
Not really looking
Just through a window
Saw something
That made you smile
And I was caught
In the tractor beam,
Opposing polarities
Couldn't separate us,
But you weren't exactly
An open embrace,
Burrs on a sock,
Lint in a pocket,
I wanted to be
But like one dusts off,
I was to be exiting
This bus ride,
Leave the taxi a tip,
Thanks for the trip,
Like free coffee
A sort of meh,
Nothing to like
Or not, I don't have
To be special to you,
Though you are to me,
If you remember;
Then address, if not
I'm postage for another letter...
