Lincolns Work Poem by Timothy Long

Lincolns Work

My war they say, to preserve the union against what others can say will not stand, against all odds and last stands I win, in life to kill or live is a way of dying itself, savages and guerrilla warfare's of evil and blood, north breaking the generations of the south, new technology to advance the war, racism and ignorance is a bet to the north, but the very being of life in the south, is living right or do we all deserve to do, the stress and the deaths of my children as well kill me inside as well, as far as others can tell, hell I can to and be free as the people I wanted them to be, violence and sacrifice define the soul that was stolen that is lady liberty, one dies for all, but can all die for one as Americans for America.
