Like The Glitters Poem by Minnie Gehrig

Like The Glitters

a soft blanket of white,
has changed in the darkness,
now frozen heartless...............

my car sliding down the highways,
like the lines of your face
so sternley set
against me............

n still i long for my ear
across your chest,
where i count the real heartbeats,
n force myself to believe again............

looking out plate glass windows
with the longing of romeos juliette
yet not quite perfect
uncompleted,
breath on the pane,

n you do not come n sing to me,
but the snow glistens and glints
like the glitters
of your bedroom worship..............
