Like A Well-Fortified City Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Like A Well-Fortified City

True love,
Like a well-fortified city;

Love,
In the Land of Beauty!

With the advantage of the laws,
To overflow like new wine.

Love,
Let your threshing floors be filled with wheat;

Wheat, heat, eat!
To cook it and war it;

Set, met, wet!
With the muse of love.
