Lift yourself up when you find yourself in the valley of despair
Lift yourself up by watching the birds that fly
Bravely breasting through the haphazard winds that try
To force them down.

Lift yourself up
For otherwise you are not a human
Born to rise like the sun each morn after the laborious night
Born to reach the stars like vespers rising up to heaven
Lift yourself up constantly
The self within you seeks the assurance of resurrection.

Therefore rise after every fall
Only then can you lift them up who stumble
In lifting them do you lift yourself too.
For there is no redemption for the sole
When all around are sinking, sinking
