Lifetime Poem by shelbie bozeman

Lifetime

The places I know
the things I have seen
the laughter, the faces
and all in between

The young naïve minds
finding their way
walking their path
that is their's to pave

The comfort of home
no need to dread
always going home
to your safe warm bed

but those years pass
family must depart
your brand new life
is about to start

Time to fly
like a bird from home
to be in the world
all alone

The world turns
you at unrest
because your naïve mind
is put to the test

The things you know
the places you've seen
the laughter, the faces
and your world in between

Prepare for the world
prepare for the strife
prepare yourself
for your new life
