Life Without Christ

What would one do if Jesus left?
God's Holy Ghost took flight?
More miserable than souls bereft
In hell's deep darkest night

Hopelessness devoid of measure
Fearful as none before
Embodiment of displeasure
At death's wide gaping door

No one can know without rebirth
Since Heaven's Lamb was slain
Hopeless, living, walking on earth
Knowing all was in vain

Oh what misery must it be
When utter despair rules
Well knowing once, when living free
The paths of condemned fools

Instead of en route salvation
Toward God's Promised Land
Fools walk the roads of damnation
With devils hand in hand

Take warning who read this story
Beware; make no mistake
Take Jesus! Life's Way to Glory
Escape hell's fiery lake

Thank God I'm here to tell you
Explain life's facts I know
Without God's Lamp, Christ's birth anew
To hell you'll surely go

There's no other way of living
To overcome life's strife
But one's heart and soul Christ giving
Upon The Way to life.....
