Life's Meaning Poem by Robert Eckstein

Life's Meaning

I sought the mystic in his cave
Atop a distant mountain
And asked him what life was about.
He said, 'It's like a fountain'.
When I asked him what he meant by that,
He said he didn't know;
But since no one else had questioned him,
It surely must be so.
