Life Of A Bird: - Poem by Nirmita Roy

Life Of A Bird: -

Rating: 5.0

I wish I was a bird,
Flying in the sky,
Flying high, high and high.

Chirping melodiously all in tune,
Rhythm by rhythm matching the sound,
And together making the song.

All day and night playing and flying,
Freely in the height,
Along with clouds floating about,
How free they are without worldly ties!
Only living for the sky.

2) But still you are wrong when you say " free they are without worldly ties! ". Even the birds of the sky are tied to the world by the force of gravity. That is Physics! 😊😌🙂

Reading your lovely poem, I was reminded of another extremely beautiful poem in Malayalam (its caption can be translated as ‘Release Me') by Balaamani Amma. She was mother of renowned bilingual poet Kamala Das. Hope you've read her poems
