Life Line
By: Taylor Donnelly

call me up on the phone
you tell me you hate being alone
my clock read 2: 03
and I'm beginning to think that its not just me
i hear to sound of the cars outside
their a hum and i wonder if its all a lie
and it reminds me the worlds still rushing by
You want me to come pick you up, i just sigh

i know you better than this
And every girl you tried to kiss
but you don't know me
not how i could be
but you don't wanna and i don't care
when i drive up you'll be smiling with your crazy F'ed up hair
so don't say sorry cuz i know you better than that its not true
it ain't you

and i don't wanna be put through
especially that
and your tipsy as a drunken cat
i drive you home, you walk away
'it wont happen again' yeah right okay
i got your line
it'll all be fine
cuz I'll still pick up when you call your life line
when you think of her
and cry to me
i know you know this is how it'll be
that I'm here
and there is nothing to fear
we are who we are and that's how it is

so when the phone rings at two AM
i'll be there to weather to the storm with you
no matter what started it i'll help you through
i promise you
i promise you
