Life Cycle Poem by DASHARATH NAIK

Life Cycle

I rise
With the rising sun
The whistling wind
Kissing my torso
And tinkling me
And I giggle
Despite my plight
My untold miseries
The chirping sparrows
Reminding me
The bliss and glory of nature
The weather with its lustre
The morning glow enticing me
Trees looking fresh
Flowers smiling heartily
Refreshing my mind and
Boosting me with vigour promptly.

I go to bed
Loaded with my liabilities
In my tender mind
Though lighted faintly
My bedroom looks so deep dark
I can feel it within silently
With no way out
Feeling choked and helpless
I offer a hearty prayer to God
For giving me strength
Enough to face
The challenges of life
And I collapse
Into the realm of peace instantly.
