Life - Between Two Points Poem by B.J. Ayers

Life - Between Two Points

Rating: 3.0

Life is long, yet so brief,
Like a sentence, between two periods,
Like a phrase between two words,
Like the pain before relief,

The existence between birth and death,
The in between, is what matters,
The good, the bad, the memories made,
The memories you leave before the death,

It is a unit of geological time,
It is sometimes down, yet sometimes up,
It is for us to decide, for us to create,
It is a bad note or a beautiful chime,

Life is colorful, yet sometimes pale,
Life is the first until the last breath,
Life is sweet, yet sour at times,
Life is sturdy, yet also frail,

Life is the gift,
Death is the end,
Life is between,
life is too swift.
