Life: An Act Of Funambulism Poem by Namita Rani Panda

Life: An Act Of Funambulism

Is life an act of funambulism
Where man as a tight-rope-artist maintains equilibrium
Balancing between the so called right and wrong
Takes risks to satisfy all as he moves along?
Balancing on the tight rope that sways side to side, up and down
Man embraces risks for false pride and petty crown
He walks ambitiously from womb to tomb
Blind to the bountiful beauty around, heedless and numb.
In this blissful and beautiful brief life
Deliberately he earns limitless strife
Suppressing fear of potential disaster
He choses a path that requires extreme care.
To make everyone happy is a distant dream
To be happy is really a state of mind
God has gifted us with green meadows below and azure sky above
Myriad avenues are there full of hope and love.
Why to choose a fixed narrow path full of danger?
Better to explore the expanses of world with endless pleasure
Taking a right choice at the right moment
Can only make life perfect and extremely pleasant.
