Life

Life is too short to be fake and to lie
Life is too short to be sad and to cry
Life is too short to be rude or to be mean
But all of this happens in the dark and unseen

Life is too short to not take a chance
Life is too short to sit and not advance
Life is too short to not give it your all
But all of this happens and some even fall

Life is too short for the dishonest and unjust
Life is too short to not love and just lust
Life is too short to tear or break a heart
But all of this happens and pierces like a dart

Life is too short to not laugh and smile
Life is too short so make it worth while
Life is too short to not cross that line
But if all of this happens you will be just fine

Poem of the Day

poet Alfred Lord Tennyson

It little profits that an idle king,
By this still hearth, among these barren crags,
Match'd with an aged wife, I mete and dole
Unequal laws unto a savage race,
