Life can be so cruel and bring such sorrow
So we must live for today and hope for tomorrow
We've had good times and happy days
We've been so lucky in many ways
We've done so much, have you and me
Amazing places we did see
The happy memories always there
I'll remember your love and not despair
'Cos life they say must still go on
Even though you're sadly gone
I'll try so hard to carry on
For in my heart I'll keep a song
With special thoughts that keep you near
To comfort me and chase the fear
There's a special place within my heart
Where I know that we will never part
As time goes by and takes its toll
You'll still be there with-in my soul.
