What is life?
to get mocked and used,
the story’s the same
To get hurt and bruised
When you’re feeling so low
and you’ve had enough of life
so you just want to give up and go
But they don’t care.

When they don’t speak,
there’s nothing but silence
and you want to scream
but if you did, no-one would listen
so you just scream in silence
When they have a problem, you listen and help
but when you have one, don’t bother telling
Because they don’t care.

You cry out for help
but they turn their backs
They don’t want to listen…to you
You feel alone, YOU ARE ALONE
trapped in a never ending circle
Trying to get out, trying to break free
If only someone would listen
But they don’t care.

You try to do your best
but they just criticize
Everything you do, they say is wrong
you just agree, because you’re sick of the fights
but once again, you are wrong
Oh, how you long for the end of your life
and you pray harder as another day goes by
But they don’t care.

You look into the mirror, but see nothing
only “this thing” standing there
You feel nothing, you don’t care…only for others around you
you fall in love, you feel good, but then along comes the fears
thinking he doesn’t want you, he’s going to leave you
or he’s seeing someone else
You try talking but no-one understands, no-one wants to listen
Because they don’t care.
