Lies Poem by Diane Monte

Lies

Hurt me with the truth,
Rather than praising me with pretty words.

Do not comfort me with your flowery talks,
Your behavior never lies.

Do not lie to me,
Sometimes, I doubt myself.

Lies are beautiful,
But truth is more beautiful without doubt.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Wisdom, who loves wisdom?
Virtue, who teaches virtue?
Morality, who keeps morality?
Pure Love, who shares pure love?
Does anyone care? , , You, Me and We, , , ?
Would it be possible to answer them with all honesty?
Is honesty lives in our hearts today?
