Letter To The World Poem by Joseph Cuevas

Letter To The World

Rating: 4.5

If I were to write a letter to the world today,
I would have to think long and hard about what I would say.
I would probably start by saying how aweful we have gotten,
How horribly rotten,
How much we have forgotten.
We no longer look back on the good old days,
When what we had were shown in plays,
Not movie theatres or HBO on Sundays,
But preforemed to us in so many other ways,
So for all of you that will keep on going,
living your lives always knowing,
That even though the population is growing,
The world we have will keep on glowing,
I give my debt to you as a boy with a dream,
That this world will work as a team,
To never forget our oldest ancestors dreams.

It is written so innocently yet it is still charmingly eloquent - I love it, well done! (:
