Letter To A Dear Friend Poem by najeeb momoh

Letter To A Dear Friend

Rating: 4.5

Life is but a moving train,
With various levels and stops to make.
It takes a lot to stand its strain.
The grace of god; for your gentle sake.

Life is but a transition.
You’re here today, tomorrow there.
The thought of love and admiration,
You leave with us to fill the air.

You’ve been a mother in a special way.
A sister, a friend, if I should say.
In various ways you’ve touched our hearts.
Cannot be shown in simple charts.

You’re so outspoken and amusingly bold.
If necessary, wouldn’t mind to scold-
The clergy! You would want to halt,
If found wanting of a little fault.

If you think of us and shed a tear,
It shows how much you miss us dear.
Hold back not! These memories we shear.
To lose it all is what we fear.

Go well our friend, our sister, our mother.
We pray your hopes and dreams are furnished.
Even though you’re far across the border,
Be rest assured you loved and cherished.
