Let Your Kingdom Come

Let Your Kingdom Lord Jesus come
To lost sheep straying blind
Open the eyes, in palace and slum
To the foolish of mankind

I bless the day You gave me sight
The times You taught me love
When I received, life’s Guiding Light
Your promised Holy Dove

When the world arrayed such splendour
Quivers ran down my spine
When love and grace, whispered tender
I knew life’s truth is mine

Is mine! Christ Jesus, forever
Is mine, my God above
No, nothing; my God will sever
Your grace and perfect love

Lord, nothing devils may tender
Pleasures or worldwide wealth
Nothing would make me surrender
No crown or perfect health

For all such trinkets are fleeting
Temporal, eyes to see
But hopeless is such defeating
A stubborn soul as me

So determined as I am Lord
No time, no storm or tide
Nothing the devil can afford
Will move me from Your side

I know where my bread is buttered
Where my soul is satisfied
All hell will burn still guttered
When on Heaven’s Wind I ride…..
