"Wait for the LORD;
Be strong and let your
heart take courage;

Yes, wait for the LORD."

David's psalms begin
with great lamenting
and cries to the Lord
for help or vindication,
but inevitably concluding
with great optimism.

They are words of
encouragement.
There emerges
a heart that hopes.

There emerges
dependable hope
in the Lord.

It is always
a declaration
of trust in the God
of his salvation.
