when love is gone
you just don't die there
you have life and its
promises for love
love has many bodies and
faces
love has many alternates and
friends
love is never alone as it
has diamonds
when love is gone find
another much lovelier
you sit by the window
looking for love and
love surprises you with
another looking much better
that is love, all giving and
never exclusive
like the soft fingers of
the morning sun
it is not just a ray but
rays so full of warmth
open your mind like a window
open your heart like a door
be the house with many windows
and doors
let your love be a smoke of
fried bacon from the kitchen
let it spread to the neighborhood
let it dissipate like fresh air
from the house to the forest
from your room to the skies.
