Let It Rain. Poem by siddharth soni

(between 1 and 2 pm 16 july 2009 raining heavily in bhopal.)


Let it rain and drench the earth with water.
For I am joyful.
The world is no more hotter.

Let the people know
Everything is all right.
You still love us
There is no fight.

Let the infants know
Nature is welcoming them.
Sun is invisible
Hide and seek no more a game.

Let me see
The wet souls of beautiful girls.
For it is rain
They make my mind whirl.

Let the peasants know
They still can smile.
The field is ready
Stress was for a while.

Let the kids
Peep through window to see this magic.
For they should understand you
And your yet another trick.

Let the stray ones take a sigh of relief.
They too are your children
And should no more weep.

Let the earthlings know
The love of nature is just.
We should stop blaming you
And should hold the trust.

Let the clouds roar
No matter they scare us.
It is the affection of same
We know must.

Let me tell the world
That you do your duty honestly.
That we humans should look inside
And search for the same quality.
