Lebanon V Poem by Taher Shemaly

Lebanon V

Flying here and flying there
bubbling words I hardly understand
And when you ask what is unfair?
they say barbarians are crying in grand!

Seems blood is so cheap nowadays
and not thicker than water as they said
Open your eye and read what it says
Nabatiye, had everything now paid

From Beirut to the lands of Maroun
bitter it was and yet they kept lying
When the glorious men kept laughing
smiling for a death that might be coming

A woman with her young five children
O children of Barbaro are they so dangerous?
Bombing their house seems to be a sin
Oh forgot, Barbaro has always been hilarious

My tears shall quake the earth O listen
for Libanus that you never knew
By the standing martyrs listen to theme
how glorious in front of God that knew

Your highness Condoleezza no offense
but I do have a question for a future
Did you ever see a process of peace
comes a long by a barbarian-made massacre?
