Leaving Springtime Behind Poem by Nicholas Neato

Leaving Springtime Behind

Leaving springtime behind
Is like trying to leave you
The leaves kick up at my heels
My feet slide through the dew

The grass is always greener
Or so at least the say
I'll leave this town (in pieces)
I'll make it out some way

So I've sang the blues to winter
When the fall had lost it's fun
Now I'm saying my goodbyes to springtime
Because I'm feeling that summer sun
