Leave My Business Poem by Okoemu Okoemu Okoemu

Leave My Business

If I have to wear my sun shade under a blue moon, and walk without falling, you don't have to say a word, 'cos it my business, not your own.

If I have to wear a short, and not a trouser, and I entered my father's house to worship, as far as my father likes it like that, it my business, not your own.

So, you better leave my business and mind your own!

If I leave my hair to grow high without cutting or shaving it, and I look like a man of the past, it my business, not your own.

And if I love peter tosh, and Fela kuti, and wole soyinka, and lucky dube and Alex Osagie, that's because they have inspired me, but it doesn't mean, I'm worshipping them, that's my business, not your own.

So you got to leave my business and mind your own.

If I hit one girl and jump on another,
That's because I'm awesome,
And if I did not dress on jacket and tie to interview, that does not mean I should not get the job,
It my business, not your own

And if I stop going to church on sunday, and don't like any religion,
That would not stop me from being a righteous man,
It my business not your own

If I get high and fly like bird,
It my business and not your own

If you chose to walk on your head,
That's your business,
Not my own.
So you got to leave my business,
And mind your own.
