Leather And Tatters Poem by stewart green

Leather And Tatters

From Behind the glass
Of imported luxury
I see them every morning

Please master
Any work I will do
My children are hungry

Bread for just today
Paraffin for the night
Life for one more day

The smell of leather
Growl of cylinders
I drive away
