Le Fantôme Du Feu Poem by R K Summers

Le Fantôme Du Feu

Burn, Fuego, burn
Leap higher, higher, brighter, brighter
Slow, deep, sensual
Dance brighter
Dance slower, faster, inside out, upside down
Flicker, tremor, tremble and crackle
Train yourself to look for the faces
Wrapped in the burning embrace of the Fuego
Spitting fireflies into the night above
Auburn hair whipping the darkness
Devouring bracken, bramble and thorn
Igniting a force within
A desire to dance
A desire to tame wild horses
And ride them through your shivering orange arms
Burn, Fuego, burn
It’s easy to forget what you’ve done in the past
Witches met their deaths at your tongue
A kiss of your lips destroyed forests
A strand of your hair crumbled London town to its knees

Le Fantôme du Feu
I’ll open my arms and let you in
Purge me with your passion
And wash away my sin

Burn, Fuego, burn
Ignore everything else
There’s just me and you, Fuego
Let’s burn together this night
