Lazy, Coy Sensation Poem by Edgar Andrade Baguio

Lazy, Coy Sensation

First, I tried to create an interaction,
But you didn’t pay much attention;
So, I tried to like you,
But you don’t like me;
Then, I tried to convince you,
But there was a fence in view;
Seconds, minutes, hours, days,
Even weeks and months past;
I held the tears of sadness to decoy,
The boldness of your joy;
Then I’m glad that patience stays with me,
As I behold the glory of impatience in you;
Finally you came with a countenance of madness,
Whereupon, I readily accept you with gladness!
