Each day is a new day
a fresh place to start
No matter how damaged
or broken apart
I will always be grateful
that you saved me from myself
You took my insecurities
and placed them on a shelf
I believed you needed someone
to show you how special you are
To guide you from your darkness
to help you win your war
You made me laugh and gave me pleasure
and that was enough for me
I met you for a reason
Fate shows us just where we are to be.
Never was my desire wasted.
Always a pleasure and more.
A good time was all I wanted
and I made you smile for sure.
Inside my light is fading
This weakness I have for you-
Remember the laughter & pleasure
and miss me as I'll miss you.
