Last (W) Rites Poem by johnny case

Last (W) Rites

Our leaders and followers
Altho obliged to give false
Reasons, are right
To espouse torture (for
the pleasure it gives those who
inflict it and those
who are privileged to witness) .

Let there be no need for
Me to write after this...
For I have at last succumbed
To an age to concede
One cannot change the times
In which one lives.

Here and after...then,
Is my celebratory acceptance
That we components of
A society blinded by the dark
Relish living this enlightenment,
To embrace the taste de Sade.
