Last Look Poem by Olivia Anne

Last Look

Rating: 0.5

That last look
At the life they took
Don’t even try
This is goodbye

I am trying to believe
That I can succeed
My life without you

But as the book finishes
I now know this is destine
Everything happens for a reason
But you just have to believe in
The courage that you have
And the faith that’s stored inside

I always remember the times
As I hear the chimes
The wind blows
And my heart shows
I miss you

I miss that smile
I miss the talks we would have
Where we would just sit for a while
Not knowing how precious life could really be
Just joking and trying to see
Eye to eye

As you drove across that one long lane
Passing by the cars that would go insane

You quickly turn the other way
But little did you know that
Safety always comes first

Buckled up tight
I was alright
But as soon as I looked at you
I felt as if I had lost my sight

Lying there helpless and dead
Me just staring
Sted of trying to help instead

I should have told you
I should have warned you
I had no idea
That this would come
And turn out this way

Yes it is true
Best friends do
They can leave you
Life does end
So lets save a friend
