Last Dance Poem by Cat Ducat

Last Dance

Final tango, last twirl
Final lift with a swirl.
Moves drained from the song.
Lyrics fading to nothing.
Dancefloor emptying, energy leaving.
Songs evaporating like thin air.
Last shimmy, final dip.
Look out don't trip. This may be the final dance.
Maybe your last true prance.
Losing the swing in your step.
Arms releasing, chants increasing.
Laying low, watch the show.
Make it, let it be, your last dance.
You're single chance
For that one flip or that final tip.
Drink up, don't mess up.
Nail that final dance. You're single chance.
