Laborious Days Poem by KarlRomeo PierreLouis

Laborious Days

There is no bravery here
Just hollow memories lay plain
Laid bare for all to see
No glare or fanfare, just pain
There is no bravery here
Behind these eyes, behind these sighs
Just the care-coiled touches of strangers
Buried helplessly beside the sadness
There is no bravery here
Written or dreamed about
Not stories or fairytales, just farewells
Covered well with seasoned roses
And faded preachers
There is no bravery here
To holler or scream aloud
Just the breeze of fallen leaves and such
Not much, but the crossing sounds of the lost
Daylight and nightfall
There is no bravery here
Beyond the remembered
Below the sunset
Beneath the clutter

Laborious days
