Kochina Poem by stephanie Ann Lowe

Kochina

Rating: 5.0

i'm sorry
i've been very busy saying my goodbye's lately,
and i barely had time to say hello.
i imagine it has been somewhat boring
or entertaining depending...
watching my saying goodbye to everyone else.
but anyway, i think i'm done with that now.
atleast right now.

right now, i look up and see the clouds
in the oklahoma blue sky.
and I know that they will be here,
in the broadest possible sense,
i'm imagining atoms colliding.
i really do see the world differently,
i find it a much more interesting place,
because i know my family are out in it.

I have family that are not always of my blood.
sometimes they are closer to you than your own skin.
sometimes the one you miss
is the one from your very within.
I'm imagining those Russian dolls.
Kochina i think.

the sun, the tulip bulb, the basketball,
the computer chip.
wrapped up in shisedo ribbons.

each coming out of its predicessor
and like the dolls, each getting
smaller and smaller.

but i wont think of that now, either,
I'll come to you while you are here.
each one of you who are leaving me.

It was really a great poem written well with nice texture and imagery. Quite descriptive yet interesting. You have done a great job. Well done. Keep on writing. I rated it 10. Please read and rate my poem 'Abortion' on page 4. Warmest regards Akmal
