Knocking Poem by Sandra Martyres

Knocking

He knocked on many doors
But none did open for him

He tried his hand at many chores
But did not succeed with any

He took to writing poetry prolifically
But no publisher was convinced

He finally became a grave digger
And successfully buried his dreams
