Knock Knockers Poem by Ima Ryma

Knock Knockers

Once upon a time was a cat
Named Kate who did have a fun friend
Who came to live, a mouse named Matt,
And the two told jokes to no end.
They both liked best all knock knock jokes,
They listened for throughout the house,
And they would hear from the young folks,
And remembered by cat and mouse.
Matt squeaked to Kate each joke he heard.
The two would giggle over it.
And then to Matt her jokes Kate purred.
Every knock knock was a hit.

Kate and Matt shared lots of laughter,
And live happ'ly ever after.
