Kittens, Please Wait Poem by NHIEN NGUYEN MD

Kittens, Please Wait

Rating: 3.5

This morning, I wake up and prepare to go to work.
Five kittens are ready in line, waiting for their meals.
Inside one room of the house, I run around in a circle.
Kittens become more excited in asking me for food.
Please sit and wait, they are told
Or, better yet, come back in and rest inside their cat house.
It's too early in the morning
Their mother doesn't arrive here yet.

Translation of a Vietnamese poem: Mèo Ơi Hãy Ráng Ngồi Chờ,
NHIEN NGUYEN MD
