Kite Runner Poem by Lady N

Kite Runner

With my arms held out and my mind clear,
I grip the little black string,
Holding on to it tight, surely not to let it go,
The wind blows and it sways.... slowly moving from side to side,
And as my pace fastens,
I can feel the Earth moving underneath my feet,
Everything stops,
Like time had been paused just for me,
So hat I could endure this moment of freedom,
And make it last forever,
We're like dancers, the kite and I,
Moving to the same music, dancing at the same speed,
the kite is flying in the sky, and down on Earth I am smiling,
The sun is shining down on both the kite and me,
And just for a tiny moment I can feel how it feels to be.... free,
