Kissing The Bride Poem by David Chishimba

Kissing The Bride

The moment hearts await for
Both with good and bad will

The ones in union choose to ignore the reasons for not to be..
All have high hopes....
But its a road everyone knows is not for the faint hearted..
The destination once the journey is started often seems bleak..
Even the intended destination is a sad one, death...

All the preparations...
The yelling...
Last minute improvisations..
All come down to this..

There are mixed feelings..
Others drop tears of joy...
Others of disappointment..
Others believe everything will be alright..
Pessimists...not so much..
But whatever the case loud cheers from the crowd are heard always...

He may kiss the bride...
