Kill The Doctor And His Nurse Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

Kill The Doctor And His Nurse

Rating: 0.5

(A True Story Series)

I had a prisoner for medical screening
Before transporting him to jail.
He was shackled to a gurney
And was handcuffed to it as well.

A man who was high on PCP
Came rushing into the E.R. screaming
“I’m killing this doctor and his nurse, ”
The 45 trigger started squeezing.

The E.R. itself was crowded
Patients shouting as they saw the gun.
No escape for those still standing,
No room for a soul to run.

I flew over one metal gurney,
Put an arm bar lock around his neck.
I ruined my back for the rest of my life
When the two of us hit the deck.

Now in prison for the rest of his life,
But someone else was sentenced too.
My injuries led to light duty,
Later heart attacks were a few.

I was forced into retirement,
And the adrenaline I once knew,
Was one hundred percent stolen.
Now I document these truths for you!

This is very interesting. It tells a real story and is more worthwhile than a lot of the stuff I've read on this site!
