Kill Imprison Peace Makers: Or Give White Feathers Poem by Terence George Craddock

Kill Imprison Peace Makers: Or Give White Feathers

kill imprison peace makers
is an old political policy
readily recycled as needed

but less often now
due to an increasingly
justified arrest protesters

global policy;

funny how division protests
new tax climate change protests
as part of distraction promoted

political agenda
are sweet sweet funded
and encouraged

while peace makers
are killed shamed
peace is imprisoned

strange in Britain
during the great conflict
First World War

white feathers
were given to males
out of uniform

by women to shame them
publicly into signing up
women vital to war effort

safe from poison gas shells
safe from rat infested trenches
safe from youth male eating bullets
