This key is not of metal;
This key is not of wood;
This key is not a petal,
This key is simply words understood

A key to my heart;
A key to my soul;
Tearing me apart
With one shot at goal

You hold this key
You hold me together
Please do not flee,
I want you forever

I shan't take the key back
If I do not agree;
If it is love YOU lack;
Coz my feelings will always be

My heart is a bird
Your words like a key to my cage
Your words are heard
Your words of rage

If the bird agrees it shall fly free
If the bird's song goes on,
In captivity it shall forever be;
Singing it's song

The key to my heart
Never lose it
And never shall we part
Our love forever lit.
