Keeplove-Pactintact Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Keeplove-Pactintact

She doted on him in spite of his age
and he was in awe of her luring smiles.
She swept him up and locked into her cage
but behind her swanky styles, hid her guiles.

He hoped Time's counsel would correct her flaws
and saw towards him turning Fortune's wheel.
To strike a kinship, into him she got her claws
and his heart was full with an overwhelming zeal.

When men crowded round her, she was amazed.
She overlooked the guidelines of their love pact
The doors to Grants she never knocked but smashed.
Her catching glances trapped the menintact.

He deified her despite her dissembling acts
but she descended down to walk through the hot tracts.
