Keep It; My Child Poem by Ologunde Joshua Abiodun

Keep It; My Child

Papa and Mama said it
You can still keep it!
Please 'Omo mi'(My Child)
Do it when everybody knows
Keep yourself till time come
Keep the future gown white inwardly
It culturally and spiritually right
Keep it for the right time, my Child
Like my own mama said;
Abstinence is very good
Every mama preaches this to his/her Child
But more to 'her'
Please my Child, keep it!
Keep the hymen!
Keep the Erectness!
Keep my words!
They're words from gray and aged hair
Your Child will love to be model(ed) to you
Your Virginity; Your pride!
My Child; wait till marriage
You will be proud to tell your own Children
without silence guilt in your heart
Thank you for listening;
I love you; my Child...
