Just Friends Poem by Antonia Nasi

Just Friends

He asked me how our world would be
If I loved him as he loved me

Desire hidden deep within
Wanting him…my mortal sin

I dream about his pale blue gaze,
And pray to God it’s just a phase

This passion burning deep inside
Feels too strong to cast aside

My secret longing he can't know
What’s best for us is status quo
