The times between dusk and dawn
Are the times gone
Without you in my sight
Makes me lose all my might
To even sleep tonight

My feelings for you
Have always been true
You are always on my mind
I hope you don't mind
But please don't leave me behind

I know my feelings are unrequited
And won't be returned
But it won't be a waste
There is no need for haste
Though I might not even chase

You are close to me
But yet out of my reach
I wish for you to be mine
And always by my side
Instead you drift out of my sight

My life grew dim
As our distances grew
So I cooked up a plan
And said, 'I hope we could just be friends'
With a little smile
