The sun weighs heavy, day is growing long
The dusk will soon replace the here and now
And the nighttime of life will settle in
Sleep will dispel the whys and whats and hows

You'll look to the stars, I'll be far beyond
Darkness will stay for what seems forever
Hold to the moonlight, sun is coming soon
Know the 'not right now' never means 'never'

Go to where the wind sighs in the willows
And I'll whisper my love into your ear
Find the sunflowers in the field and know
That though I'm not seen, I am very near

Watching, waiting to see you in full bloom
Encouraging you just behind the clouds
Holding you tight in your moments of pain
Please know I'll always love you and be proud

Sunset is here; I must be on my way
I'm catching the red eye into the Light
Don't cry for long, for not long will I be
But ‘til then, my dear, I wish you goodnight
