Just A Poet Poem by vayu mankotia

Just A Poet

They envy me, they sound sarcastic.
They push me behind, their heart is of plastic.
They laugh at me behind my back.
They call themselves human, humanity is what they lack.
I'm no fool to be fooled again.
I'm just a poet, but i use my brain.
They thought i write nothing but rubbish.
But i'm being me, so what if i'm lavish.
They say they are the world, that they are bad.
How do i tell them i've no gold, its just my pen i've always had.
So what if i don't treat people well in my sector.
Afterall i'm just a poet not a doctor.
