Judgement Day Poem by Luke Easter

In the beginning God created heaven and earth,
Stars, moons and planets, the entire universe,
A first man Adam, from his rib Eve was given birth,
Placed in a Garden not a ghetto, they were the first.

As God began to give them more of His time,
The angel Satan became jealous of so called mankind,
An impure thought he put in the woman's mind,
From that day forward we became spiritually blind.

Banished to earth for not fulfilling their part,
While sadness slowly crept into our Creator's heart,
Even after Noah weathered destruction forty days in the ark,
The world as He saw it still needed another fresh start.

The order was given to spread out and expand,
Yet, just like before the flood we had our own plan,
Get close to God; build a tower, so we won't have to yell,
Something must be done before I send them all to hell.

The prophets they disrespected and did not obey,
Continuing to do evil in the sight of the Lord anyway,
Finally having enough, He would give it one more try,
Well aware that whomever would surely suffer and die.

So He thought to Himself, who could it be?
That's when a voice said Father send Me,
Are You sure? For most will not understand,
They'll disrespect, be mean too & murder the Son of Man.

I know they weren't created to perish, so yes I can,
The righteous need a Savior and that's what I am.
Take care My Son; Jesus will be Your name on earth,
The only Begotten One, from a miraculous virgin birth.

Jesus loves, heals and saves,
All those who sincerely believe,
He shed blood, tears and pain,
Bringing salvation to you and me.

In return what He asked of us,
Was a relatively simple price to pay,
Just follow 10 laws of God our Father,
Given to Moses on the mountain that day.

However, for some unknown reason,
A lot of mankind has been lead astray,
Material things have seemed to take the place,
Of the plans God our Father laid out that day.

The Lord wants us to be successful and prosper,
However, we kept going about it the wrong way,
His only son Jesus died on the cross for us,
And some still do not abide to this very day.

What a very selfish world we reside in today,
Crime, suicide bombers, corrupt CEO's, the list never ends,
God our Father looks down and shakes His head,
All He ever wanted was for us was to be His friend.

Too many of His children take this life for granted,
Not realizing Jesus is here to show us a better way,
Forgetting that life on earth is only temporary,
Come Judgement Day we all will have to pay.

God will certainly not accept coupons,
There is no buy one and one gets in free,
Excuses will definitely not be accepted,
But it's still not too late for you and me.

Our Lord is a loving and forgiving Father,
That's why His Son Christ Jesus is here,
How come so many choose to be led astray?
God doesn't want us far from Him but near.

This is why on the infamous day of crucifixion,
Father & Son could not let that cup pass by,
Hearing the cry 'why have You forsaken Me? '
Was an only time God had tears in His eyes.

Today not tomorrow is the time to comprehend,
It's not a very expensive fence to patch & mend,
Is your soul saved? Have you been born again?
Judgement Day is a new beginning or a final end.

Final Judgement Day of the Lord will be darkness and despair,
Amos 3: 18, as though you fled from a lion and ran into a bear,
No more favoritism or bribes. Yes! Finally justice will be fair,
If you're amongst unrighteousness better get away from there.
